Ciao, travelers! I’m Rileigh, the owner of Travel Mellow and a former resident of Italy. I’m thrilled to share my personalized 4-day itinerary for the stunning Amalfi Coast, one of my favorite regions in Italy. Fall is an ideal time to visit, with mild weather, fewer crowds, and a chance to experience local festivals. Get ready to immerse yourself in the breathtaking coastal scenery, rich history, and delectable cuisine of this Italian gem.

Day 1: Exploring Amalfi’s Charms

Kick off your Amalfi adventure by strolling through the picturesque town of Amalfi itself. Marvel at the striking Duomo di Amalfi, a 9th-century cathedral with a stunning Byzantine-style facade. Next, visit the serene Chiostro del Paradiso, a former monastery with an enchanting Arabian-style courtyard. For a unique experience, stop by the Amalfi Paper Museum to learn about the town’s historic paper-making tradition. For lunch, I recommend the cozy Trattoria da Gemma, where you can savor authentic Amalfi cuisine. End your day with a delicious seafood dinner at the charming La Caravella restaurant, overlooking the Amalfi harbor.

Day 2: Hiking and Exploring Positano

Lace up your hiking shoes and embark on the breathtaking Path of the Gods, a scenic trail that winds along the Amalfi Coast, offering panoramic views of the Mediterranean Sea and picturesque villages. Pack a picnic lunch to enjoy along the way. After your hike, head to the charming town of Positano, famous for its colorful houses cascading down the cliffside. Wander through the narrow streets, browse the boutiques, and soak in the laidback atmosphere. For dinner, I suggest La Tagliata, a cozy restaurant serving delectable Positano specialties.

Day 3: A Day on Capri Island

Today, take a day trip to the enchanting Island of Capri. Board a ferry from Amalfi and enjoy the scenic ride across the sparkling waters. Upon arrival, embark on a boat tour around the island to admire the iconic Faraglioni rocks and explore the stunning grottoes. In the afternoon, visit the charming town of Anacapri, where you can stroll through the picturesque streets and enjoy panoramic views from the hilltop. For lunch, treat yourself to a meal at Da Paolino, a seaside restaurant known for its fresh seafood and stunning views.

Day 4: Ravello’s Hilltop Charm

On your final day, venture to the enchanting town of Ravello, perched high above the Amalfi Coast. Visit the stunning Villa Cimbrone, known for its meticulously manicured gardens and breathtaking views of the coastline. Afterward, explore the Villa Rufolo, a 13th-century villa with beautiful gardens and a rich history. For lunch, I recommend Villa Maria, a charming restaurant with a terrace offering panoramic views of the coast. Before departing, take some time to wander through Ravello’s quaint streets and soak in the town’s tranquil atmosphere.
